We are happy to announce that we will be installing new Hybrid Tanning & Red Light (Prestige 1600) units at our South Surrey & Yaletown locations this week. If the installations go as planned, the new beds will be available for use by Thursday, July 18.  Hybrid Tanning is exclusive to SunScape in Metro Vancouver.

We know that many of our clients are seeking additional information about this new technology, and we have tried to address the various inquiries below.

What is Hybrid Tanning?

Hybrid Tanning is the perfect combination of Red Light and UV combined in the same session for a more natural looking and longer lasting tan.

Our clients already love the Prestige 1100 Level 5 unit which is available at several locations, and the Prestige 1600/Hybrid takes the whole experience to an even higher level.

This bed is loaded with performance and comfort features unlike anything else out there, and these are a few that we think our clients are going to love the most:

Personal SunStyle:

This gives you the ability to maintain the Red Light benefits while reducing the UV output during a session.
Level 1: Sensitive, 70% UV Output
Level 2: Medium, 85% UV Output

Facial Customization:

The Prestige 1600 is the perfect choice for a Red Light only facial session, offering a fully customizable experience from UV and Red Light in combination and can be adjusted to Red Light only at any time.

How Much is Hybrid Tanning?

We’ve worked hard to provide the best pricing possible for this new technology, while at the same time recognizing this is by far the most expensive piece of equipment we have ever purchased at SunScape.

Pricing is as follows:

1. Hybrid will be included as an option for all Level 5 session packages at no additional charge.
2. Hybrid will be included in our All Access unlimited plans (prepaid and auto-pay) at no additional charge.
3. Hybrid will be a $15 upgrade for Level 1-4 unlimited members, and $10 for Level 5 members.
4. Hybrid will be included as an option at no additional charge for Freedom and Bronze members utilizing their 1 monthly session.
5. Hybrid is not included in a Red Light only membership or package.
6. A drop-in is $39.
